IIW readout

🎥 12'55": Further discussion available on Eric’s IIW live-blog.

Agentic identity workshop readout

🎥 13'04": Discuss Eric’s session on agentic identity for content creation and likely outcomes for CAWG.

Tentative theory: Existing model of C2PA claim generator (hardware or software product) and CAWG named actor (human or organization operating said product) holds up well for agentic creations as well. No significant pushback at AIW session.

Key points from discussion:

  • From Andrew: There might be a use for some kind of metadata assertion or something like that that outlines exactly what is being delegated, what permissions, what authorizations, what set of actions the person intends to allow the agent to take.

  • To what extent do we want to support identity assertions in the case where there is no human in the loop? For now, taking a cautious approach (i.e. we do require a human in the loop).

  • Is there a need for a mechanism for the human in the loop to state what they are reviewing? (Possible answers: The entire creative work, or perhaps just a set of edits made by an agent.)

  • From Charlie: What about tools like GitHub Copilot, where an agent develops context from the collective actions of the project’s contributors? Should the agent sign its work with reference to those contributors?

Review PR #240: Add X.509 trust model guidance

🎥 31'20": Reviewed PR #240: Add X.509 trust model guidance.
